Yep, it can be very hard keeping the fans happy because they notice every detail. I have a terrific consultant in Washington who checks all my comps for movie accuracy before I render the finished piece - just to make sure I haven't inadvertently dropped in something from the wrong movie!

The idea was to create a poster as if it was from the original release in 1983 - assuming that the viewer didn't know what had happened to Han other than what they had seen in Empire. This is also why the color palette is typical of a piece from that era and it added a very exciting challenge to the piece over all.
